The final and most important step before manufacturing your CD is mastering. Oddly enough many musicians have never heard the term or fully understand what it means. If you’ve ever played a store bought CD and then put in your music, I’m sure you noticed a dramatic difference. You may have had to adjust the volume or play with the EQ to improve the sound and even then it most likely fell short of the store bought CD. This is where mastering comes in. Mastering is the process of correcting audio problems and bringing the most out of your final mix.
